Chase Excellence, Success Will Follow - Sachin Tendulkar

Chase Excellence, Success Will Follow. I kind of agree with this saying. The best living example for this is probably Sachin Tendulkar. “I don’t play for records. I play for enjoyment and passion. I never came to cricket to make records. It just happened.” Is what the legend told.

No language can boast of words that could describe the little master Sachin Tendulkar. This master blaster holds the record of highest number of centuries in both Test and ODI cricket. Sachin Tendulkar is the most prolific run scorer in one day internationals and Test cricket. I keep wondering what next? I don’t think that there is anything else left for this little master to achieve. If cricket is religion, Sachin is God.

Tendulkar has been granted the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, Arjuna Award, Padma Shri and Padma Vibhushan by the Government of India. What next? Bharata Rathna. I don’t think the Government of India has a choice.

"Closest thing to batting perfection" - Sunil Gavaskar

"I'll be going to bed having nightmares of Sachin just running down the wicket and belting me back over the head for six. He was unstoppable” - Shane Warne

"You know genius when you see it. And let me tell you, Sachin is pure genius." - West Indian batting great Brian Lara.

Who else can be better judges?

  3. I may come off as being a little greedy, but he still needs to get that test triple hundred and of-course win a world cup before he retires

  4. Ruminating on what is written.. I still wonder if these words are really the flower of your thought... But I guess Life is simple and best lived when we dont try to demystify everything.. So for now if I were to believe that these thoughts are original.. I should say it is a peachy piece!
